Hello everyone.
I was thinking of adding this message to the existing thread "New PC and various problems", but then I saw that that discussion went into much more complicated problems than mine... so, very briefly, I will pose a question: recently I had my PC reconfigured (also from a hardware point of view), and since I have always used a copy of Finale 2006 (um, to be honest not exactly... original, but with the key generator it has always worked very well), I wanted to avoid going crazy and I installed it again. More or less everything works, but I have encountered a couple of problems. The first is that, even though the registration was (apparently) correctly completed, every time I open it, it gives me the warning that I have 30 days to register the software. Note well: the number of days does not decrease, as happened before if I didn't do the registration immediately, but it always remains fixed at 30. Another problem, which in reality I only encountered during the first few days, then mysteriously disappeared, is that while working on a perfectly normal score (I was transcribing some counterpoint exercises), very annoying blue triangles appeared, in some cases so large that they prevented me from seeing the staves and therefore from working. Is it possible (asking as well, like Geppino) that there are compatibility issues, such that the old Finale 2006 can cause problems with Windows 7? And if so, what can I do?
Ah, a small clarification: I have never worried too much about very advanced sound "libraries"... my goal has always been to write scores that look "professional" rather than obtaining realistic audio files. Perhaps later I could also fill this gap of mine...
Thank you for the help you can give me.
Bye everyone
Gino
