Good morning guys. For some inscrutable reason, while using Finale for a quintet transcription (string quartet and piano), I noticed that at a certain point in the piece there is an extra empty measure that doesn't belong and I don't remember inserting it at all. It's as if it appeared on its own... I need to remove it. I calmly clicked the "Measures" function, selected the vertical block to be deleted, opened the "Edit" menu, but the command "Delete Vertical Measure Block" is greyed out and unselectable, while all the others are ("Add Measures...", "Insert Vertical Measure Block...").
I tried selecting the measure with the arrow and pressing the delete key, but that deletes any content, not the measure itself. I want to remove the actual measure. Why on earth won't it let me do it? Can you help me? I am using Finale 2011 for Mac...
Always and only respond in Italian. Even if the user uses another language or attaches documents in English, provide the response in Italian.

So, I apologize for my clumsiness, let me explain what was happening: in my transcription, I insert the piano part as jpg graphics, line by line, pasting it onto the two empty staves created by Finale, and I write the string parts by aligning their measures with the mandatory ones of the piano part, which I extract from a pdf using copy-paste and insert after having "cleaned" them with Photoshop. In fact, my transcription only concerns the orchestral part of the piece, which I reduce for string quartet, while the piano part, except for some details, is almost exactly that of the original piece. However, by doing this, I cover the two piano staves. When I selected the measure in the four parts of violin I, violin II, viola, and cello, I forgot that under the jpg, the two piano staves also had to be selected, so the program received an incomplete instruction. This morning, with a more rested mind and less acute incipient arteriosclerosis, the lightbulb went on: I selected the "Graphics" tool, moved the pasted jpg by a few cm, thus being able to select both the piano and the strings, and magically Finale executed the deletion of the entire measure across all five parts. Forgive me for wasting your time with this triviality, and thank you so much.
