Good morning everyone. I purchased the Sonata font from the Adobe website with the hope of being able to use it as a replacement for the default one in Finale. Unfortunately, I have found that the characters do not match the original font; in fact, instead of noteheads, alphanumeric characters appear. I don't know how to use it. Would anyone be able to tell me if there is a solution to this, I wouldn't want to have thrown away 40 euros for nothing.

Windows or MAC?

You can evaluate making a private font library by drawing from those you have purchased.

For Windows, just run the eudcedit.exe command and then take them from Character map

But are you sure you installed them correctly?

The operating system is Windows 7. I believe I performed the installation correctly. I installed the Font following standard practice; since it was listed in the alternative fonts list in the Finale guide, I didn't think I had to build a library from scratch... I will try the procedure you told me. Thank you so much.
