Hi, I discovered that software like Sibelius allows the use of square and triangular fermata symbols.

Ideas on how to do the same thing in Finale?

Both the triangular and square ones are contained in the "Toccata" font and among the Sibelius Opus Special Extra fonts.

You can find the Toccata font here:

You can also obtain the Sibelius fonts for free with the Sibelius demo itself.

You can also create them using Finale's Shape Designer. It is not difficult to do, since they are simple signs, and you can attach the agogics to them.
