Hello everyone and hello in particular to you, dear Simone.

Well, since everyone is introducing themselves, I will steal a few minutes of your time too.... I am Armando Orlandi, owner of the website www.lvbeethoven.it. A long time ago, kind Simone had invited me to participate in your beautiful forum on his (even more beautiful) site. So about me... without boring you.... I guess I have to make a "curriculum vitae"? Well, I'll try. I am 47 years old, have 2 children, a wife whom I love above all else, and I live in San Biagio, just 50 meters from the house of Paganini's mother. I studied trumpet and trombone at the conservatory with Carlo Beltrami, the father of Matteo, the orchestra conductor. I collaborate with Albert Willem Holsbergen and Mark Zimmer of the website Unheardbeethoven.org, as well as with Inedita, which publishes CDs with Beethoven rarities, for which I have written some booklets. I have written several articles for various publications, such as the Neue Beethoven Studien, but I am only proud of the repair I completed just last year on Beethoven's bracket clock in the Beethoven Archive at the BeethovenHaus. Yes, that's right, I am an expert in antique clockmaking, and this passion..... is my source of material livelihood! Finally... finally.... Beethoven, always, a little every day, for me and for the site. Sketches, drafts, fragments, or rather the skizzenbuch: the Kafka, the Landsberg...... these are my interests, along with Willi Hess and Giovanni Biamonti...... but that's enough now; I hope I haven't bored you too much!

With friendship,

Armando Orlandi

Dear friends, have you seen that we have actually applied the motto "Fluctuat nec mergitur", which I do not quote by chance, since Dominique Prèvot resides right in Ablis, near Paris. With this friend, I have shared a great deal, starting from the WP of Macbeth, Biamonti 454, in Rennes, in 2002. Unfortunately, his family vicissitudes have "eliminated" him from the management of www.lvbeethoven.com, which was sold in 2010. So, either by desire or by necessity, here I am at the head of a website all my own.... and to think that initially I didn't even want to do the translation from French to Italian!

Dear Armando! Thank goodness you arrived here... The meeting was a failure, unbelievable! Even my PC started giving me problems, and I had to format it, with all your emails and contact details lost, but fortunately you are here!

Well, I see that you have opened your own site on Beethoven, very good!!

Many thanks to everyone; you are very kind and sincerely I do not deserve so much. As much as I can, within the limits of my strength and my Beethovenian knowledge, I and my website are at your disposal from now on. A hug to all and.... see you soon!
