Hi. I would need some advice on starting piano studies as a complementary instrument to music high school for my daughter, 13 years old. Which brands should I look into to stay around 2000/2500 euros? They offered me a Siheko for 1700 euros. Is it any good? My daughter has a slender build and we have little space at home. Thank you

Some oriental pianos are cheap because they are assembled materials from parallel markets. Of course, ā¬1700 is too little to believe in even a minimum level of reliability. The space required is identical for a piano 105 cm high as it is for one 135 cm high (for the upright), and the keyboard width is identical (about 150cm) for an upright, a spinet, or a grand piano.
Another solution is to rent one from a serious shop and see if the child continues to study. Then, you can subsequently consider purchasing the same instrument or another one. If she does not continue, it can be returned by paying for transport (or perhaps the round-trip transport is already paid in the initial advance).
Another solution to avoid spending much is to purchase a good digital piano, which can remain in the house even when an acoustic one is purchased in the future.
It is certain that with the amount allocated so far, it is not possible to access high-quality instruments.
Another present and/or future possibility is to consider a good used instrument from a shop or even from a private individual, upon the advice of the person who will become your trusted technician-tuner.
