Grave lutto per la cultura italiana: con il decreto legislativo datato 6 luglio 2012 viene soppresso l'Istituto per i beni sonori e audiovisivi (ex discoteca di stato). Che ne sarà delle centinaia di migliaia di registrazioni in esso contenute e conservate fin da quando la radio muoveva i primi passi?

To tell the truth, the ICBSA is being suppressed but all the heritage passes under the control of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage; therefore, I don't think they will burn everything that is archived.
The functions and duties, as well as the personnel, financial, and instrumental resources of the Central Institute for Sound and Audiovisual Heritage are transferred to the competent Directorate General of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities. (DL 95/2012, art.12 paragraph 38)
It seems to me that all this mess is being made, perhaps rightfully, by those who work inside: I say perhaps rightfully because I know some of these behemoths well, having worked in them... among other things there are those, "specialist graduates," who fight on Facebook while getting many conjunctions wrong.
