Unfortunately, following updates from Aruba, we have had a major problem with the database. I have tried to recover everything that could be recovered. All conversation attachments are still missing; that will take more time. If you notice any other malfunction besides the one regarding the aforementioned attachments, please inform me. A long night of work awaits me...
At first I was thinking of sending you an email about it, because I thought something had happened but didn't think the cause was what you have specified here (I thought problems had arisen because someone repeatedly opened discussions with zero content, perhaps infecting the forum with malware etc...).
In the end, I didn't write to you because I thought that if I weren't the only one doing it, your email would have been clogged up, so I avoided it.
Absurd anyway, shouldn't there be (at least) an announcement from the provider in order to anticipate what will be carried out?
I can't imagine the damage they will have caused to quite a few people.

Usually an update notice is given but the extent of them is unknown; in fact, I prefer Netsons as a hosting service, which has usually given me fewer problems
They sent an email some time ago saying they would update to the latest version of Windows Server. However, I didn't think they would cause such a mess. Anyway, keep me updated if you encounter any other anomalies. I've been working on this since this morning and I'm still not finished.

For now, I have mostly noticed a lag problem and the lack of some avatars like yours
Thank you Simone for your precious work... I know well how much it costs in terms of time and effort to fix these messes. Giving timely notice would have also allowed for a security backup.
Ok, avatars and Upload are also restored. We should be finished... Have a good one, everyone. As usual, if you encounter any other problems, let me know.
I don't know if it is a problem related to Aruba or something else:
yesterday, wanting to connect to the forum from a terminal that wasn't mine, I followed the procedure to recover my password (I didn't remember it). Everything went smoothly (as other times);
the procedure concluded with a message warning me that "within 10 minutes I will receive a message at my email address with the new settings". but I haven't received anything yet. That is all
