Francesco Trocchia: "Metamorphosis" 2015

Undoubtedly interesting. I like less the parts where the texture, so dense with dynamic shapes and breaths, almost hints at transforming into a soundtrack... in the sense of "taking on the appearance" of a more recognizable and concise rhythmic harmonic body. Anyway, I find it much more interesting than the two piano works posted previously.

Fabio, I fear that the logic of the comparison doesn't quite hold up because, metaphorically, it would be like comparing Beethoven's Op. 49 to the Great Fugue. In fact, the two pieces previously published by Giovanni are works for young pianists/amateurs. I would even say that they are too different in genre; consider that Francesco Trocchia has great versatility and expresses himself at very high levels in many genres, see for example also this

... I think few pianists can afford this part for piano (technically and musically).

I remain always fascinated and intrigued by this form of compositional "schizophrenia," typical of composers like Morricone.

Metamorphosis is, from my point of view, the most beautiful piece I have ever listened to by Francesco.

Like Abate Faria, I loved it from the very first listen.

In fact, I don't know him deeply... mine was just a consideration based on the three pieces I listened to.

I will also listen to this one and see if I can get a more precise idea.
