I am sharing this work of mine for piano dedicated to Saint Francis, composed in 2026 for the celebration of the eighth centenary (800 years) since the death of Saint Francis of Assisi (October 3, 1226).
from the Canticle of the Creatures on "Sister Death"
Praised be you, my Lord,
for our sister bodily Death,
from which no living man can escape.
Woe to those who will die in mortal sin.
Blessed are those who will find themselves in your will
Interesting composition. I wonder if the author has provided a specific fingering for certain passages or if it is left to the performer.
The phrasing seems to evoke meditative atmospheres, but I am not familiar with the work. Thank you for sharing.
No Maurizio, I usually do not indicate fingering unless in particularly intricate passages that would take the performer too much time to find a functional fingering. Instead, I am usually very precise regarding indications related to dynamics, agogics, and phrasing, which suggest the desired type of sonority.

Buongiorno.
Interessante composizione. Mi chiedo se l'autore abbia previsto una diteggiatura specifica per certi passaggi o se sia lasciata all'interprete.
Il fraseggio sembra richiamare atmosfere meditative, ma non conosco l'opera. Grazie per la condivisione.

Good morning,
thank you for the clarification... However, I wonder if the absence of fingerings might generate anxiety in the performer, given that the modern repertoire is often not very standardized; what does the teacher suggest in these cases? :)
Fingering is personal and can depend on many factors, including the physiology of the hand. If the musical notation is detailed, indicating it can be counterproductive. If by "standardized" you mean performance practice, it is partially true today, but how do you include fingering in this discussion? I mean, if the musical notation is clear, the performer will find the fingering most suitable for them and to do "justice" to that particular musical passage in their interpretative idea (philological or otherwise)

I understand the logic, but for someone restarting after a break like me, the absence of suggestions immediately creates a bit of initial anxiety. I usually rely on dynamic indications to guide the movement, hoping that it will be enough to find the right direction without too much uncertainty.
