Freeing teenagers from alcohol and drug addiction

Anyway, I think the situation among our young people is extremely serious, and I realize this because I experience the problem firsthand having two children, one 17 years old and the other 14.

But what indignates me even more is the lack of awareness - or indifference, or helplessness - that reigns supreme in the face of this problem.

Generational clashes have always been part of daily life and, in various respects, are even desirable. But here we are talking about something else entirely.

We are facing a generation - apart from the due exceptions, naturally - that is completely empty, absent, indifferent, narcissistic, overbearing. On one hand, it is understandable: it is the first generation in human history that will be worse off than their parents and grandparents.

But we cannot and must not resign ourselves to all this, and the Icelandic example should enlighten us all.

How right you are, Daniele!!!..so true about the hopeless generation ...empty. but...I say and emphasize one thing.

I always side with the new generations..I believe these kids reflect the world like a mirror...empty because they are facing emptiness....this is the world today. An inert world that only by trying to fight with the same coin ..perhaps ...can be evaded and ignored...or rather, avoided..

I have seen kids like these become extraordinarily creative and operational, interested, curious, ready to show what they are made of if ....and I emphasize...if...faced with a true and concrete...constructive opportunity.

In my opinion, young people have tools in their hands that they cannot use today (especially here in Italy) and so looking around a little, they sit down ...disappointed...they put their tools back in the toolbox ...some waiting, ,,some hoping...but only nothingness appears before them..

It is a great struggle, especially for someone who is a parent like you and has children at such a delicate age...but...only you can help them.

I believe that it is up to us in some way to wake them from their torpor by giving them a direction...or even better...making them understand that...a direction truly exists.

An "epic" moment this...never mind a third world war..
