But this poor guy even paid to put his videos on YouTube.

It's every pianist's nightmare. If you search for anything regarding the piano, you find it as an ad at the top.

I don't know how to tell YouTube anymore that it's crap to me.

It reminds me of high school days, when we used to put together post-rock groups... there were tons of self-taught fifteen-year-old keyboardists who played like this...

same style, same gestures, same stuff...

I don't know, I am increasingly perplexed by today's music...

He must be someone with piles of money... Above the piano, they look like two Neumann M147s (2700 euros each). Plus all the advertising being done on YouTube, which is scandalous; he is truly spending piles of money to gain notoriety. I believe he spends at least 1500 euros a month on YouTube (Google) advertising, perhaps even a little more, just to always be present.

The comments on YouTube are absurd too; I haven't read comments like that even on the videos with Giseking's recordings.

Mah!

Ā

They are truly pathetic, frankly I found it so uselessly boring that I said to myself, how did these people grow up?

I wouldn't classify it as today's music... I mean, chronologically yes, but I don't find it representative of any niche. Even in the pop realm, there is stuff a million times better
