I am not a classical 'purist' (I listen to almost everything) and I don't know how many people are aware of Filtsch, but regarding him Chopin said that he was the only pianist capable of truly knowing how to interpret his music. Chopin was not interested in giving lessons to kids, and to no one more than once a week (and naturally not to just anyone), but for Filtsch he gladly made an exception: three lessons a week. Filtsch was Chopin's most talented student.
Of him Liszt said: 'when he starts giving concerts around, I will have to close up shop'. Many other illustrious pianists and composers of the era were unanimously in agreement about Filtsch's talent.
A phrase from Chopin during a concert by Filtsch is interesting: "My God! What a boy! No one has ever understood me the way this boy did... It is not imitation, it is the same feeling, an instinct that makes him play without thinking, as if it could not be any other way. He plays almost all my compositions without ever having heard me play them, without ever having shown him the smallest thing - not exactly like me, but certainly not less well".

it must also be said that the version on YouTube is only a vague idea of the piece....who knows how the composer himself would have played it? I don't think music giants like Chopin or Liszt would get enthusiastic about little
