i'll jump straight into a very easy question for most!
the accessory that holds the "lid" at two levels for my Kaway KG 5C 3/4 grand piano.....what the hell is it called and above all where can I buy it again since it broke???

I didn't quite understand which lid... Maybe you are talking about the rod that holds the LID?

The rod is difficult to find, also because it must be polished and not raw (beech). And then the size? It's worth seeing if it can be repaired. In any case, one can contact the company PIATINO in Turin.
