thanks for your input... I don't think I understood it very well. I've been using Finale for a long time, but I've never written anything particularly advanced; I'm below the "bare minimum", for lack of a better term! ;-S ;-P
it seems to me that it is however quite easy....so, could you explain the various steps to me, please?
thanks

Press the expression menu icon (the one with the mf sign)
A menu will open in which you will create a new expression sign (new button)
Write the number 1
You will see that just below there will be a drop-down menu where you choose the type of frame, specifically a circle
Ok
Insert into score
If you are not happy with the size, reopen the object and adjust the font size.
as you can see, I am working on the separate parts (for guitar).
i created the circled numbers in the file "chitarre 1", inserted them, saved, done, all okay.
now... opening the file "chitarre 2" I noticed that the circled numbers do not appear in the list.
does this mean I will have to redo them? is there a possibility to copy them from "chitarre 1" to "chitarre 2"?
not so much out of laziness, but because of the difficulty of manually constructing the circle, identical to the previous one.
Is it possible?

You can create a custom library (too complex to explain), but you don't have to draw the circle by hand... there is a frame, a circle. The size is determined by the font size, so it cannot be different

You can create a custom library (too complex to explain), but you don't have to draw the circle by hand... there is actually a frame, a circle. The size is determined by the font size, so it cannot be different if you choose the same font and the same size
