Most Esteemed Maestro Paolo Ferrarelli, I have noticed that the hammer heads of the upright piano are glued at a certain downward angle of inclination relative to the horizontal line of the felt; I would be eager to know why and what rule is used when newly mounting hammer heads onto their shanks... in other words, what degrees of inclination are adopted.

Every brand has its own specifications regarding hammer stroke. Generally, hammers, especially in upright pianos, respect the 90° angle, but there can be exceptions. When replacing hammers, however, strict adherence to the inclinations chosen by the Manufacturer is required.
