As you can see, this type of lineup:

- 1 bassist

- 1 guitarist / blues vocals

- 1 guitarist light vocals

- 1 guitarist without vocals

- 1 tribal percussionist

- 1 sax

We are trying to create a small band to have some fun and we are looking for ideas

I think a string instrument would also work well, it seems too guitar-like to me, and besides, what repertoire would you want to perform?

+ 1 drums

+ 1 piano

+ 1 double bass, removing the bass

Trumpet and trombone too... But Zen is right... Towards which repertoire do you want to orient yourselves?

bit, the lineup you proposed could be very interesting, but I would also replace the bass with a double bass and then the tribal [percussion] with a "normal" percussionist (it's a bit more varied; having only tribal elements gets boring after a while....)

so, the problem will then be playing something decent, in the sense that you will make very original music but it will require skilled musicians and above all those who don't have a tendency to go on incredibly boring tangents just because it's "alternative" music (unless you only want to have fun among yourselves in the rehearsal room...)

in short, someone capable of directing at least a minimum arrangement in order to fuse such an unusual and very guitar-heavy ensemble (folk guitars, I presume)

have fun

Zen's suggestion is great

I think the piano is the most difficult instrument to manage and integrate; if I understood correctly, it will be difficult to tell a guitarist friend... change instruments or stay at home because we'll replace you with the current "Bollani"

5 guitars are excessive, is there no one playing the keyboard or the harmonica?

Thanks guys, it's hard to tell a friend to play on the bench, it's probably about enriching to balance the excessive number of guitars
