Hello Everyone!! First of all, I must congratulate the group that keeps this portal active for the very interesting topics it covers. These are essential themes for any musician and I find the exchange of ideas that forms through the use of the forum to be extremely useful.
Anyway, my name is Alessandro, I am 24 years old and I am a semi-professional pianist. I started studying piano privately at the age of nine, until the end of high school when, due to various commitments, I had to stop. Lately, however, I am planning to set aside some free time to start playing again... certain passions are hard to kill ๐
Hi Alex and Welcome, I understand your difficulty in managing to pursue both paths (I mean academic education and musical education). I wish you the best in resuming your piano studies. The value of things lies in art...

Hi Alex and welcome!
Why half pianist?
Well, I am half guitarist, half mathematician, half physicist, half father, one tenth pianist, etc. (anyway, the total is more than one!!!!! maybe I need to redo the math. Or not?)
I don't think that to be something you have to do it full-time. Music is also like life: everything is inside, including and especially the feeling of other things to which you dedicate yourself.
You were also very impressed by the lively exchange of ideas that we can have here... well, one more voice can only be good for everyone and, I wish you, knowing different opinions and ideas might even help you... you'll see!
PS eheh... Gennarino, the total is 2 people and 1/10!!! I knew you were worth more than two... no no, the math is correct! ๐๐

Francesco, flattery is a grave sin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding, just for a change; you are an exquisite young man, but, you see, I am not worth much, even if I do not despair of becoming worth more every day.
Think instead how lucky you are, that you are already worth 4 and a half and still have an entire life ahead of you!
