Hello, I am a new user of Logic Pro 9. I switched to Mac after giving up on Windows system computers during my midi-audio work. With the good old Nuendo 3, I managed to achieve good results, but with the use of various plugins (almost all of those from IK multimedia, and others), Reason, and some other Native VSTs, in the end, even the most powerful PCs threw in the towel before I was satisfied. Obviously, many of my favorite instruments did not run on Win7, so I was forced to use WinXP, which was already limiting in itself. So, I switched to Mac and Logic Pro 9 and I must say that the world is completely different and attractive. From the old programs, I have only kept Reason 4.
I have a MOTU MkII audio interface connected via USB (it doesn't have a firewire port), but it works just as well. My question is as follows:
- The input signal is very low; in order to get enough of it, I am forced to crank up the microphone input sensitivity to the max, which obviously brings back all the environmental issues.
In the system preferences on Mac, it says that the card has no input controls.
Could it depend on the fact that I am using an ADAT?
Is there a way to resolve this issue?
I have an iMac early 2008 dual core with 4 GB of memory.
