My name is Franco, I am 45 years old, I have a degree in Physics and I work at a semiconductor industry company. I am passionate about High Fidelity, for which I spend part of my time building vacuum tube amplifiers designed by myself, and, of course, music. A few months ago, I purchased a Yamaha U3 upright piano (used but in excellent condition) in Rome to give my 6-year-old son the opportunity to approach the instrument. On this occasion, I am also tackling the piano myself, as a self-taught student.... I have practiced with some first-year piano pieces (e.g., Beyer op 101, Duvernoy op 176, 23 exercises from Anna Magdalena Bach's book, I believe) with decent results (given how much you've regressed!). At the moment, I am finishing a "easy" Mozart sonata KV545, which I see even young musicians play divinely, and I have started studying S. Heller op 45, relating to the second year of piano. I hope that over time I can at least complete the third year of piano studies. That would be a great achievement for me.

I would like to thank Simone and Paolo for their useful and pleasant lessons... which I discovered by chance on YouTube.

A greeting to everyone, see you in the forum regarding the various interesting topics.

Franco

Hello everyone and thank you for the welcome.

Sergio... well, in a certain sense, yes. Everything I do outside of work is for music. I was favorably impressed by the site due to the expertise of the authors and I see that there is much to learn...

As anticipated in the presentation, a good part of my free time is dedicated to building Hi Fi amplifiers... I love music.

Purely musical experiences.. not many.... I listen to a lot of music, mostly classical but also Jazz.

My favorite musician is W.A. Mozart. A few years ago I bought a keyboard that I liked from the very first note (Yamaha Tyros).... I think studying music is quite rewarding, which is why I took up the piano again; I started many years ago with a teacher from the conservatory of L'Aquila but only followed it for a couple of years. Now, whether out of necessity or passion, as much as I can, I'm not letting it go anymore...

The problem is the neighbor, a real bully .....I must provide in some way, perhaps with a digital piano ....

bye

Or with Teresa (My sawed-off shotgun)...

Do you also do pre-valve [preamp] stuff?

Hi TheSimon

Pre-phono in the works, no line at the moment. The amps are integrated with various power ratings.

congratulations on everything

Hello Vitrus, I have also worked a lot with semiconductors, let's look for the most suitable place in the forum to exchange photos of our audio electronic apps (if you feel like it).

Look in the Audio section.

I apologize to everyone if I posted a topic that is not very relevant.
