I am Roberto; I studied for a few years as a child and then continued to play the piano amatorially until about twenty years ago. Then, moving for work and losing access to a piano, having less time available, and a lack of stimulation (I have a good digital piano but it never satisfied me) progressively distanced me from music, effectively making me stop playing.

Two years ago my daughter, who had never been explicitly pushed towards music as she showed no particular interest, decided to attend high school with a musical focus... obviously piano: she starts, she likes it, and encouraged by her instrument teacher, at the end of the second year, last June, she auditioned and gained admission to the conservatory's pre-academic courses.

All this has obviously catapulted me back into the world of music and ignited a hunger for information and knowledge, leading me to stumble upon this exceptional forum. I am curious and, aided by a technical/scientific and speculative background (I am a physicist), I tend to delve as deeply as possible into the fields that passion me.

A few days ago, I found myself with a new Kawai RX-2 in my house and perhaps, I hope, I will start playing again...

Dear Roberto, welcome

It is a beautiful thing that you have started to approach Music again. If it is inside us, as in your case, one cannot help but be in its company. I hope that this our initiative can contribute to keeping alive those "stimuli" that are needed to continue practicing it.

Happy studying
