Hello everyone, I am Giuseppe, I am 64 years old and for three years I have been passionate about studying the piano, as a self-taught musician. As a young man, I played the drums in a rock band. Subsequently, I fell in love with jazz, which I always played as a drummer with pianist, bassist, and saxophonist friends, but always as an amateur. My favorite jazz pianists are: Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, Michel Petrucciani, Art Tatum, Bud Powell, Brad Mehldau, Keith Jarrett, Franco D'Andrea, Enrico Pieranunzi. For a few years now, I have approached classical music by listening in particular to the works of Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy, Schubert, Schumann, Rachmaninov, Satie, performed by great pianists such as Pollini, Michelangeli, Argerich, Brendel etc. I know that at my age it is almost impossible to learn the piano as a self-taught person, but studying this wonderful instrument gives me great satisfaction.
