Good morning everyone,
Happy to be part of this forum, I would like to resume cultivating my innate passion for music together with you, and in particular, for the piano.
I studied as a private student when I was a boy; however, I never took an exam although I reached the fourth year of the course, perhaps approaching the fifth, or at least that is what I remember my teacher telling me regarding the path taken, more or less from the age of 8 to 14, before interrupting lessons due to the greater commitment required for scientific high school.
Obviously, with a piano at home, I continued to strum away whenever I had time, and so during my university years as well, although without following a course of study.
The most interesting thing I found during this unstructured path was some parts that I managed to play from Beethoven's 3 most famous sonatas, and the discovery of Ragtime, managing to perform some pieces, especially by Scott Joplin.
Continuing to strum "randomly" until I moved out of my parents' house; since 2015 I have started a family but, alas, the piano remained where it was, also in view of moving into a larger house... and so now five years have flown by, during which I only play when I go to visit my parents....
But you know that everything eventually has a follow-up, and these days I am about to purchase a portable (stage) piano, leaning towards the ROLAND FP-90, not only to compensate for the lack of large spaces for an acoustic piano, but also and above all because of the constant enthusiasm I've had to gain experience with a good digital instrument, obviously well-weighted so that it makes me feel equally "at ease as with an acoustic"...
...it was long to tell you and, perhaps for you, tedious to read, but now finally I will be able to resume as I wanted, and I will play every single day! :)))
One last, non-negligible thing to tell you: I would really like to resume the course of study I left behind, not only to improve, but also for the sake of the obsession, if possible, and I will ask you about this: studying on my own and taking exams as a private student to obtain the first-level piano diploma (or I don't know what it is called now).
