Here I am, a new member. I live in Verona and I have been playing—or rather, dabbling in—the piano for many years.
On several occasions I have had lessons and I must say that the variety in the way of thinking of piano teachers is quite apparent.
It's infinite! But we are human... it's normal, in fact, that's the beauty of it.
In addition to digital [instruments], without which I wouldn't be able to practice, I have a Furstein (Farfisa) which I believe has the ability to emit pure sine waves without harmonics... wow!
Ciao from Francesco

Oh really? This news of a Fürstein that sounds good surprises and delights me. It reinforces my idea of having it serviced, in the sense of trying to have it tuned and ehmmm how do you say, to make
"needle" the hammer felts to soften the sound. You must admit, however, that they are not particularly appreciated and to sell it, you have to sell it for a pittance.

certainly on the market it doesn't have the same performance as a Yamaha....but I prefer it by far. I have played others ....three, I think. One didn't please me in terms of action, but perhaps it needed better regulation because it was sluggish and dull. The others were different from each other but nonetheless had a beautiful sound. Mine is always very much liked by all the tuners who have worked on it. It has never needed regulation or tuning.....the action is an English Lange 80 and the sound is beautiful, round, full-bodied, and resonant....it has a high case, though. Those with lower cases don't have these characteristics!
just think, I could sell it but I won't, even if I don't really need it anymore, precisely because I like it so much.
