Good morning, I wanted to ask for some information regarding this piano that was donated to me a few months ago. I would like to know info about the manufacturer and the possible value of the piano. Furthermore, I wanted to ask if it makes sense or if I should renovate the external wooden structure (painting, polishing, etc.) and the internal parts (replacement of hammers, strings, etc.) and what the costs for all this would be.
Brand unknown to me. The condition of the plate and the soundboard must be verified in person. Then, if it is worth it, one would eventually need to proceed with a total restoration of the action (replacement of hammers, dampers, center pins, etc.) and perhaps even the strings (replacement).
It is difficult to quantify the cost of restoration. Naturally, the result of the restoration must constitute added value to the instrument which, at the moment, is very low.
