My dear companion,

I am able to bid you farewell once more, something that is unfortunately not granted to most. I know, if you had the possibility, you would take the worst upon yourself instead of me; but everyone must answer personally for what they do. My love for you makes everything easier than I would have believed. There is no need to assure you again that I will love you until the grave. For the children, always be what you have been to me, a companion! Hoping in life, I move toward death. I go with faith in a better life for you.
