I have it (the Casella) and indeed it is written... I didn't think he was talking about it. On some scores my eye had caught it, but I thought they were exceptions and not the rule.

Otherwise what would I have asked to do... for sport?

Well, generally one looks at books BEFORE asking on a forum, especially if they already have them at home; then, if they don't find answers, they look elsewhere. Maybe if you take a good look, you'll also understand the issue of accidentals... (by the way: have you understood which notes must be written for that blessed E-flat major scale?)

A question, but what clef does the C horn read in and then how is it defined: Alto, Waldhorn, Posthorn, Vienna Horn, please clarify this doubt for me

I am not a horn player, I just happened to end up here in an attempt to understand something about the extremely intricate matter of transposition/writing for horns :-) and after collecting only frustration from dialogues with horn players I know... I am writing to publicly thank Carlos who FINALLY clarified the matter for me (confirming "suspicions" that I held).
