Do you know how Schumann "injured" his wrist? Does he play the piano centrally?

I don't think it was the wrist (but I could be wrong, of course). Instead, I think Schumann ruined the tendons of one hand (or both hands) because he slept with his hands hanging by the ring fingers, with the aim of making the 4th finger more independent and flexible... he had to stop playing definitively, entrusting the performances of his music to his wife, fortunately an excellent pianist.
