hi, honestly I don't find it an exceptional piece, even if you have the musicality but perhaps you don't quite know how to manage it.

the main flaw I find is the lack of variety: the same bass accompaniment for 4'30'', the same atmosphere and the same theme, the same orchestration, in short it is rather repetitive...

in the last minute I noticed a search for harmonic variety, but the impression is that you went off on a tangent, a bit randomly.

it sounds like a piece by someone with talent but without solid studies behind them. and if I am right, the only advice can be to .... study

Thanks for the frankness AleGozzo, even if it might seem repetitive, I like the idea that something remains for the listener, which perhaps isn't such a negative thing.

'A casaccio' [randomly/haphazardly] seems excessive to me, it's not just academic (prepackaged) patterns ... but I take note of your opinion.

...no, sorry... but who made you believe that academic schemes exist ...moreover, pre-packaged ones?!

Well... if when someone is more free they are told that they are just playing randomly... does it mean that those who listen already have predetermined paths that, perhaps everyone, must honor...? ...

But it makes sense that there might be some academics in the audience, so... everything is fine with me.

In my opinion, you should be thankful ... AleGozzo told you exactly what isn't working, down to the last detail. There are people who usually pay to get this information

calm down, calm down, I only expressed an opinion, and I am not an academic (and let me tell you ... if only I were !! I am increasingly realizing that professionalism in music is much more important than knowing how to find a nice 4-bar idea, if one doesn't know how to manage it afterwards)

anyway, I also wanted to clarify that it's not a matter of right or wrong harmonic connections, but of a sense of harmonic direction that is inconsistent with the rest, sudden turns that were not needed and that did not lead to anything significant.

bye

... in fact I thanked him ... and I thank him again because with his last intervention I better understood the meaning of his first comment.
