Yesterday I purchased the piano. Let's hope it gives me many, many, many emotions

Let us hear some recordings. I have played on both the C5 and the C7... I find that the C5 has a more beautiful sound than the C7, which however seems to me to have a better keyboard. The C6 might encompass both characteristics...

Before buying it, I was also leaning towards the C5 ... but I had them side by side .. I played them for about an hour and I had to change my mind ... the C6x in terms of sensitivity, touch, and sound is (in my opinion) another planet ...

I remember that they cost a lot. Perhaps it would be better for you to consult a seamstress and have one custom-made

As for the cover, I just made mine....pre-packaged ones are a bit of a risk because you have to order them and you can't see them...In the photos that the various manufacturers show you, they are examples of non-standard productions. The cost varies from 150 euros to 250 euros, but I repeat, in my opinion, without great guarantees on the quality of the materials and the final fit.

I spent 130 euros on synthetic leather already felted on the underside and I sewed it myself with an excellent result.

Anyway, I have seen the original Yamaha ones and they are very beautiful...the best among all those present on the market. If I had owned a Yamaha, I would have taken that one too, even if it costs a bit more. ...

A question that occurs to me now ... is it possible that the C6X piano requires specific space dimensions to play? Now I am terrified that my living room (with a void measurement of 28.8 sqm) might not be sufficient ...

Excuse me but: the cover... to protect it from what? From dust?

If that's the reason, I would save the money for the cover and just dust it off upon my return.

I need the cover to protect it from 3 pairs of very dangerous little hands..... those of my children!!

That original Yamaha one I saw in the PF shop where I bought mine! It was really beautiful and robust... much better than the others circulating on the web, but clearly it only fits well on Yamahas.

However, I admit that children aside, without a cover the piano seems naked to me and too exposed to dust and who knows what else. I have a spontaneous urge to "protect" it! But I recognize that in this case it would only be a psychological need and an expense that is perhaps avoidable!

Does anyone know how to tell me the difference between the Yamaha C6X and C6XPE piano?

On the Yamaha website I only see C6X or C6XSH and the purchase price?

X stands for series and PE for Polished Ebony .. i.e., the color.

c6x and c6xpe are therefore the same thing
