The same thing happened to a fellow pianist colleague of mine. After 8 months of slow rehabilitation, she returned to form. The main thing: do not rush and maintain a positive attitude. Hi Frank, hi Paolo.....I would love to be able to tell you that everything is fine, but unfortunately it is going very badly. Three and a half months have passed since the surgery and I have very serious shoulder problems because the operation was not successful. Unfortunately, I had 3 displaced fractures: one in the humerus, another at the head of the humerus, and another at the greater tuberosity (trochiter). It was discovered after the surgery that the trochiter remained detached, or rather, a screw failed and didn't catch. Result: pain behind the shoulder with tendonitis and neck stiffness (because all the tendons pass through the trochiter). Since it seems they operated on me incorrectly, they are trying to brush me off and pretend nothing happened. Fortunately, a conscientious doctor is taking care of the situation and has performed a detailed X-ray; with this, I should see a specialist shoulder professor on August 25th. Even though I am not keen on going under the knife again, I will try to have another surgery as soon as possible to resolve the situation because, as it stands, it is impossible for me to play, let alone sleep at night. My quality of life is terrible and it has been three and a half months since I haven't been able to play decently. Obviously, I haven't resisted doing so and to tell you the truth, I even play with severe pain; I only stop when I simply can't take it anymore, resulting in nighttime insomnia due to excruciating pain....I miss music, my instrument, my usual playing..... my way of expressing myself through music... I have played since I was 5 years old and what I am going through is a tragedy for me..... You musicians can understand...... and to think that while they were taking me into the operating room, I kept recommending that they operate on me well because I play.

I wouldn't dare imagine; a problem has cropped up in my left hand, I don't know what kind yet, maybe it's something silly, but I am terrified at the mere thought of running into a charlatan... so I understand you!

Thank you Paolo, it is really sweet of you to remember me and send me positive energy. I really need it. Unfortunately, things are going badly as I wrote above. I only hope that time helps me recover. Unfortunately, I can play very little, I can't last more than about 1 hour and a half without consequent pain.....let's hope......
