Scroll through the Create menu and select Symbol (shortcut: Z); the symbol window will open, which also includes the directorial symbols you indicated in the thumbnail. Select the symbol and click OK; the window closes and, with the pointer (now "armed" for its function), select the note before which you want it to be inserted.
