I studied opera singing for several years, first with Maestro Gianni Socci (a great comic Bass) and then with the German Soprano Carla Parila, an expert in leadership and more, who has collaborated
with great names in opera.
I was drawn to the Forum while reading the lively exchange of opinions regarding the topic "Technique and Music" and I wish to intervene with some of my modest considerations that I believe can join yours, even though I am not a pianist, because I believe that in any case common principles can, indeed must, be applied to the two different disciplines (singing and pianism) to achieve those
expressive results to which I believe all musicians aspire.
Hello Maricallas and welcome to our forum. I am glad that you immediately understood that, despite the name of the site, we do not only deal with the piano but with the musical field in general.
I renew my invitation to actively participate in discussions and perhaps start your own discussion on singing.
I read that you were also struck by the lively exchange of opinions possible on this site... so you think like me, then!
I am writing to you because I would like to invite you to participate in the discussion "Why compose music" in "Harmony and composition", a discussion that I opened, but which is still missing the opinion of a singer ๐ ... I await responses and considerations in the discussion, or, if you wish, through a direct message to my user.
