my name is Salvo and I live in Bologna. First of all, compliments on the high level of expertise I have encountered on this forum..
I studied saxophone but for a few years now I have approached the study of the piano, mainly out of passion, finding in the piano a good companion from whom I can no longer separate myself. Currently, I have a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano... but I am looking for an acoustic piano... I have become too demanding and the digital one is no longer enough for me! Above all, it is the sensation of the keyboard touch... Playing the digital feels comfortable, but when I had the opportunity to play acoustics, I must confess that I felt quite uncomfortable in the relationship between myself and the keyboard. Although the propaganda for digitals thunders with phrases like "realistic touch for a feeling equal to an acoustic piano" and so on, I realized that I am shaping my way of playing on a keyboard that is practically very different from a "real" one. Hence the need to move to an acoustic piano, and in this search, I came across this very valuable forum.

Among my favorite composers are Beethoven and Chopin, of whom I am currently studying Nocturne No. 20 in C# minor and the famous funeral march. In choosing pieces, I go a bit by feeling... there are periods when I prefer classics, and other periods when I prefer contemporary music, above all Einaudi and Cacciapaglia.
It often happens that I listen to a piece, fall in love with it, and then I obsessively hammer away at playing it!
