It seems that he disappeared yesterday, but however for now I have not found any confirmation in the media.

THowever, even though being a thousand light-years away from Buscaroli's political ideas and not always sharing certain of his musical analyses - some yes, by the way - the thing does not make me happy because to me the death of anyone - but truly anyone - never brings me joy, and I am sorry to read what I have read above.

I am sorry.

I also do not share any of his political ideas, but in the musical field I have received much from reading his Bach: both for what I share, and for what I do not share. Even contrary ideas give food for thought and force one to clarify their own.

(it is also a shame that it is difficult to find the news. it does no honor to those responsible)

You are right, it is a bad joke, but as far as I knew he wasn't dead precisely because nothing can be found on the web (otherwise I wouldn't have written it).

"I tried to do all the harm possible to my enemies. I was one of the best agents for the German, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese secret services. Without taking money, only out of hatred for the other side. But I also had fun for free"

Is he dead? Maybe. But don't worry, he isn't dead.
If he really is dead, he will come to pull my feet while singing Ode to Joy to me. Anyway, I didn't have time to remove it and I had asked Simon to do so.

P.S. The quote above is taken from this interview: http://www.barbadillo.it/2268-lintervista-piero-buscaroli-fascista-per-disciplina-credo-nelle-cose-non-negli-uomini/

You see, it hurts me much more to read certain reactions, phrases - and I am not referring particularly to yours but rather in general - from those whom Buscaroli defines as "enemies" or "the other side."

Yes, because if I take for granted that on his side it is normal to speak, to express oneself, to hate in that manner, I would like it to not be so from "the other side."

In reality, I would want it to be this way for everyone. But do not mistake me for a naive person or judge me as such: I am perfectly aware that evil also often reigns supreme on the other side.

But the evil of "the other side" .... hurts me much more!

Look, if "the other side" had not responded adequately to people like Gusmaroli, today we would ALL live in a very different world. It is not about hating, but about not granting respect. The dead are not all the same: I grieve for the 50 dead at the Doctors Without Borders hospital bombed just yesterday, not for a little republican who "gratuitously enjoyed himself" (I don't know with whom or with what, but certainly not by playing the piano) and for whom "faggots" should be in concentration camps.

I do not hate him, I repeat, but I do not respect someone like that: neither his life, nor his death. And, if my expression seemed inadequate to you, I will tell you that I think what Gould said about Mozart. There, perhaps that is more elegant.

Well, in the end this didn't kill anyone; he expressed a crappy thought, but it was still his thought. A lack of respect for life could perhaps be held for those who killed thousands of people "gratuitously."

I wouldn't be at all sure that someone with his background and ideas hasn't killed (or tortured, or raped) anyone; in fact, sincerely, it seems improbable to me. Regardless of this, even Renato Curcio didn't kill anyone, but he was sentenced to twenty years: was he to be respected for "his crappy thought"? Well then, I also have my own thought, which is: I do not respect a person who incites hatred, contempt, and discrimination on ethnic, sexual, or other grounds; and who, moreover, does so not at the tavern after half a liter of cheap wine, but from the pages of newspapers. If you spread ideas, you are morally responsible for those who then put them into practice.

A man and his ideas are the same thing: if the ideas are not respectable, in my opinion, neither is the person.

P.S. "Thousands of people," you say: I don't know about you, but I deny respect even to someone who kills a cat gratuitously, let alone that.

We didn't understand each other. I don't respect that person or that thought either, and I certainly don't wish death upon them.

This morning the news is also coming from the rest of the media.

At this point, thanks Tiger for letting us know promptly (in a music forum....)

... let's just say that even in the musicological field, he wasn't exactly a genius.

I agree.

But if we were to remember only the peaks...
