Look what the warehouse workers of a major publisher receive once the rental period has expired:
- sketches on the back of music sheets
- broken pieces of drumsticks/batons
- organ pipes
- bags of coffee
- sheet music chewed by the dog.

... in my opinion, things that belong to "everyone" should not be ruined; for example, I hate those who underline library texts. Renting something is a bit of the same thing.
