I came across this article: "Italian is the fourth most studied language in the world"

http://www.corriere.it/scuola/14_giugno_16/dante-pizza-italiano-quarta-lingua-piu-studiata-mondo-4edfb4fe-f57a-11e3-ac9a-521682d84f63.shtml

It seems that our language is among the most studied overall, in fourth place after English, French, and Spanish.

At one point it reads: Then there is also the great influence of the musicality of speaking Italian and obviously opera, in which it triumphs.

In effect, Italian culture could influence this data, particularly the musical field: technical musical terms, operas, etc.

Indeed, singers, due to aspects related to the performance of the repertoire, have the need to understand and pronounce Italian.

What do you say in this regard?

Interesting, aside from music, I wouldn't overlook fashion, the Vatican, football and Ferrari... do you realize how many people on a global scale, for work, orbit around these "fields"?

The fact that a language is among the most studied in the world makes me think that the nation holds great importance in the global cultural and social landscape. It is not understood why, due to taxes and the economy in general, we are the last. I remain of the opinion, as I have already written in another post, that we should be the Apple of the world. We would need a politician-entrepreneur like Jobs, not these clowns and even less so Berlusconi.

I am writing this to you with a joke, because we don't have the same mindset as those who invented Las Vegas, an empire from/on "nothing".
