Hello everyone,
it is with great pleasure that I join this community (very well organized, I would say) where I hope to be able to receive and, why not, give advice, suggestions, and insights into the world of music that has accompanied me (to my immense joy) since the age of 11 (I am currently 40...) without which, I swear, I have no idea what my life would have been like.
Anyway, that said, leaving the romantic moment behind, let me introduce myself: my name is Danilo, I am from Rome and I am 40 years old; as you might have guessed, my greatest passion (besides women... ๐) is music!!!
I began to approach this wonderful world at age 11, in middle school, when I became fascinated by what my music teacher did with the guitar... naturally, considering learning to play the guitar too difficult, I concentrated my efforts on the mythical "flute" (economical for my parents, not "deafening", didn't need an amp etc. etc.).
I thus began to notice that with great naturalness I was able to reproduce various little songs by ear with great ease, and it filled me with satisfaction!!! Even my teacher was happy because in class only 2 of us were able to follow him... ๐
Anyway, that was my beginning; then at age 16 I signed up for electric guitar lessons and my life changed forever (I will take my Fender to my grave!!!). I can say that now, at 40 years old, the guitar is like a sister, a companion, a special friend, a lover to me, without whom I could never imagine myself... then at the tender age of 38, I wanted to sign up for piano lessons (it had been a fixation of mine for a long time) and so I learned to strum the piano as well (on this occasion I bought myself a beautiful digital upright, which sometimes I love just looking at, and it already gives me chills!!!).
Naturally, I own a MAC with Logic Pro 9 installed, and it is precisely thanks to this, browsing the web and finding Simone's video tutorials on YouTube (which is also my son's name ๐), that I became aware of this site!!!!
Thank you MAC!!!!
And thank you to all of you!!!
Danilo
