The famous and monumental collection of Pièces by Jean Henry D'Anglebert was printed towards the end of his life, almost as if to represent the perfect and definitive synthesis of the keyboard art developed over the years by the great French harpsichordist, organist, and composer, already a pupil of the old master Chambonnières as well as a great friend of Lully.
