In the attached piece, I need to insert 2 repetitions:

the first one, after measure 35, should go from measure 3 to 19, and then jump directly to 36

the second one, after measure 61, should go from 3 to 35, and then resume at 62

I am asking for help regarding the symbols for repetitions and jumps.

I put them on the score by intuition, but I am not sure if they are correct

At first glance, the structure you describe is quite complex to manage with traditional repeat bars alone. If I understood correctly, you have two different repetitions that both start from measure 3 but end at different points. In these cases, it is often clearer to use signposts like D.S. and Coda rather than accumulating first and second endings, which risk creating confusion for the performer.

Without seeing the score, it is difficult to say if the symbols you inserted are correct, but I advise you to verify especially that the reading path is unambiguous and that there are no alternative interpretations. A good rule of thumb is to imagine being a musician reading the piece for the first time: if you have to stop and think too much about the jumps, the notation can probably be simplified.

If you can upload the page of the score with the symbols you added, it will be much easier to give a precise opinion on the solution adopted.

Hi everyone! I agree with Manuela, when there are too many jumps there is a risk of creating confusion. I am currently starting to play again and I find that textual references are much more immediate for the reader. Perhaps you could try inserting small numbers or letters at the jump points, so you would make the path even more linear and avoid any doubt.
