Good evening everyone and always compliments to your site.

I hope I can formulate the question in the most correct way:

Is it possible to increase the key depth, in order to have more travel (for technical reasons)?

I imagine that one must act on the bushings under the keys, therefore decreasing their thickness, but then?

adjust the action accordingly?

or what???

thanks

A technician is needed to evaluate why you feel this need. You don't even tell us if it is an upright or a grand. In any case, there is a correct proportion between the key dip and the hammer stroke. Adjustment certainly makes a difference, especially the escapement point being more or less close to the string.
