Maestro Ferrarelli, I have a curiosity. This morning, as almost every Saturday, I went to the conservatory to play. At a certain point, while I was performing a Beethoven sonata, a small piece of the black keys of a Seiler—I believe the 220—came off, and I noticed that there was lead embedded inside the resin.
So, are the black keys entirely weighted with lead by some brands? Looking closely, I saw that it was also present in the wood of the lever underneath.
