i wanted to get your opinion regarding the work I have done over these past few weeks, where I undertook the restoration of an early 80s Krauss (Sauter) 118cm upright piano.
In particular, as an amateur, I tried to tune it a bit; I lightly shaved and re-voiced the hammers, and I properly regulated the wippens, escapement, and dampers of the action. Finally, I corrected the pedal action slightly.
As far as I am concerned, I find the sound of this small piano pleasant, with very deep bass for its size.
I found it interesting to study and test the Renner R2 action which - supposedly - simulates a double escapement.
I propose for you to listen to this recording just made with the instrument and a simple Zoom h2 microphone.
it really seems like a good job to me. Well done (I say it seems to me because, as you know, the recorded sound doesn't always do justice compared to the real thing....but even here it seems to me that you knew how to make the right choices in sound recording)

@francescochopin90 The R2 action is certainly heavier than that of the Yamaha U3.
The response is pleasant and indeed makes the key responsive.
This trick is due to the installation of an additional spring that makes the hammer "escape" better. If it might be of interest, I can upload a close-up explanatory image/video.
Under the key, obviously, we do not feel the double step, the double click of a double escapement.
It is certainly interesting.
When playing Debussy, I notice that I am able to control the sound better.
