Ligabue explains what "musical chords" are at minute 04:30

I ask, isn't he an Italian rocker? Has he been successful, fortunately? ...why can't he enjoy his billions, play, and shut up with a minimum of dignity?

Why must he ruin himself by opening his mouth? Such infinite sadness...

And besides... if he doesn't know how to use the diminished chord it's not our fault... he shouldn't demonize...

Not to mention the paying audience in the theater applauding ... I want to die.

But this guy is stupid, besides not being able to distinguish chords from inversions and modulations. In fact, even this one is all made of I - II - V, even if he's messing around on the guitar thinking he's doing something special. He's just ignorant, poor guy.

... I had seen an interview of theirs on television where this terrible theoretical performance was repeated.

I had to listen to it several times to believe it. Anyway, if he had been a comedian, he would have been equally successful...
For those who don't want to listen to the whole thing... an excerpt of the tide of bullshit he said:
"Major: PEREMPTORY, DECISIVE, BRIGHT (also) = triumph!
Minor: if you have some 'little problem' to tell, "uh, mama...." = sadness
Minor seventh: of the "classics", for rock and roll, soul, blues = a four seasons
Sixth: "lost" chords, closing chords, of the Beatles = let's go see who saw them
Major seventh: languid = let's f*** (come on!)
Diminished: it really sucks = absolute garbage
You can use many or few, depending on the style; for example, the Beatles used many chords... EVEN GOING OUT OF KEY" (daring ahahahahah)
He has a certain sympathy for those who use few chords (and I believe you....)"

One of his guitarists, whom I know, used to tell me:

"I told him, Liga, in your career you've made two tracks. One slow and one fast. Stop!"

It is known that the Beatles, truly the fab four in the face of this musical poverty, wrote dodecaphonic pieces full of clusters, sound masses etc. etc.
