it's cool... Anyway: I read the article you linked.
You can agree or disagree with him, but Loach's refusal is well-motivated and explained.
What about Dylan, what did he say? That he had other commitments (a pizza party? helping his cousin clear out the cellar?... Who knows)
As for the perplexity that Rotore wrote above, if we felt like it, there would be much to say (almost as much as on 'What is art?')
