Hi everyone, my name is Riccardo, I am a drummer and I am finally trying to record myself decently. I have Logic 9 and also many questions, but what I urgently need to know right now and cannot figure out how to do: I would like to select multiple regions of a track and export them to a new project that has the same settings as the source project. Can this be done in a simple and fast way? Instead of saving as a new file and deleting everything I don't need?

It has never happened to me that I had to do something like this; usually when I work on a project, I work on that one, and if I need to import things that I have already used in other projects, I enter those projects, bounce what I need (even just the region or a portion of it), and import it as an audio file within another project. I don't think it is possible to do what you are asking, or at least it didn't even seem to me to have read about it in the official Apple books, also because a Logic project is equivalent to a folder, inside which all the VST files and audio files used in that project are closed (it always depends on the saving methods of the project itself). In short, another project is another folder, so unless you save the project with two different names and delete what you don't need, I don't think it is possible to do what you are asking any faster. However, in my opinion, you could make duplicates of the tracks and mute one of the two duplicates depending on your needs; this way, it is as if you were working on two projects while staying within the same project.
