Study piano and follow the advanced courses with Maestro Massimiliano Ferrati in Rome. I systematically return home no earlier than one in the morning, and my day doesn't end there because I have to spend at least another 2 hours doing other things for the forum. Try to be patient... But above all, understanding.

good morning guys. is there anyone who would give me some advice on buying an audio interface?? I heard that the MOTU ones are among the best. basically, I would like to connect to Logic with a MicroKorg XL and a digital piano. What do you recommend?? Also, a few months ago I fried (due to excessive use) my Yamaha P85. It seems that the last two low octaves do not receive the key signal, and when they do, my piano comes to life, triggering some funny and very fast re-strikes (very out of place, I would say)!!! well... so the second question is this: is it necessary for me to throw it out the window or can I connect it to Logic using it as a silent keyboard????

(don't make me spend a lot on the interface!!)

I confirm that MOTU are excellent interfaces. Of course, they are expensive... If you "settle" for the penultimate version of the 828, you can find the MK2 used for around 300 euros; if instead you want the new MK3, then budget 700 euros. They have excellent compatibility with MAC. In short, they are well-made interfaces. You can certainly use your keyboard as a MIDI controller in Logic. Clearly, you must not use the broken octaves. The sensors have probably broken, so just as it doesn't work when listening to it standalone, it won't work if connected to the PC via MIDI cable. In any case, you can always play the higher octaves and then transpose them down in Logic, so if you need it for arranging, it might still work.
