The video is very beautiful, though... It's a shame that sometimes the audio is out of sync with the video.

Anyway, it is a laudable initiative... the image of the piano on the ice is beautiful.

Music for the Arctic: Ludovico Einaudi at the piano among the ice. I almost never allow myself to judge the work of living authors, but as a lover of Arctic and Antarctic music (Sibelius, Vaughan-Williams, Maxwell-Davies, and Rautavaara), it strikes me that a hypothetical music of the end and at the end of the world resembles a Hanon exercise very closely.

Well, being a Greenpeace production, it will be low budget. Despite this, the cinematography is very beautiful and also the idea is very original. Not to mention that whether it lacks primary content is not something I dispute.

It might be, but I can't help but see a media comeback in it; perhaps I am being a bit too "malicious," but I can't bring myself to be enchanted.

I understand the meaning, but I don't fully believe it.

I have become a bit tired of a certain condescension and a certain superiority from the so-called "cultured" world. The initiative is splendid, the video of the melting glaciers is impressive, and Einaudi is one of the most well-known and expressive minimalist composers around. In my opinion, he is the right musician, with his appropriate language that is widely shared regardless of us provincial and puritanical Italians. The context is right; he expresses himself in a way that reaches anyone and does something right. Would you have preferred Pollini to go there, playing a Chopin Nocturne...? Not me.

.... the electronics would have been less choreographic but probably more effective from a sound point of view.

a well sure....imagine if even when playing in winter in a large hall one has difficulty maintaining acceptable circulation in the hands, with those temperatures they would be two icicles!
