Luigi Cherubini's catalogue is also finished, although for once I am not happy.
There is no official catalogue of Luigi Cherubini's compositions. The only attempt at cataloguing was made by Francois Lesure and Claudio Sartori in 1962 and is included in the volume:
Luigi Cherubini nel II centenario della nascita edited by Adelmo Damerini, Leo S. Olschki Editore, Florence, 1962
This work, which the authors themselves define as provisional pending further studies, lists all known compositions with the location of the respective manuscripts but is extremely summary in their description.
I have adhered to the list and chronology reported in this volume, integrating the information with what I have found from other sources, but I found very little.
There are too many compositions that list a generic "orchestra" or even "unknown" as the instrumentation, and vocal works for which I have not found the name of the text author.
Anyway, a little is better than nothing, and I can always integrate when I find more information.
