LUIGI NONO: "Dialectical counterpoint for the mind, for magnetic tape and voices (1968), dedicated to Douglas Bravo, commander of the FLN-FALN of Venezuela (national armed liberation front).
I heard it once in a lecture but I can't find videos or music files anywhere... any ideas?
Thanks in advance

The composition was commissioned to Luigi Nono by RAI for participation in the 1968 Premio Italia. However, it was "censored" because the last episode (the fourth) was deemed offensive towards the U.S.A.
This is the censored text:
4. UNCLE SAM TELLS A TALE
Uncle Sam wants YOU nigger
you are a member of the best paid black mercenary army in the world
support white power
go on a trip all the way to Vietnam
you can earn yourself a medal
fight for freedom (in Vietnam)
receive perfect training in the art of massacring
other oppressed peoples
you cause too much trouble in your ghetto
uncle Sam wants you to die in Vietnam
the "whiteys" plan is to make you die in Vietnam
stay here and fight here for your dignity as men.
(uncle Sam wants YOU nigger manifesto distributed by the Black Women Enraged organization and the Harlem Progressive Labor Club)

I haven't found anything Ilenia, regarding what has been written I can add that the title of the piece is a paraphrase of the "Contrappunto bestiale alla mente" by the Bolognese madrigalist Adriano Banchieri (1568-1634)
